City of Middletown – Part Time Administrative Assistant Needed

The city if looking for a part time administrative assistant approximately 22.5 hours per week.  Please send resumes to:  No phone calls, please.  The duties will include but are not limited to:


  • Answer phone
  • Resolve/distribute phone calls
  • Aid in the distribution of tax bills, collection of bills and posting of same
  • Keep calendar of rental property – Community Center, park and gazebo. Ensure all paperwork is properly filled out, money is received and keys are given out and returned
  • Assist with any large mailings
  • Open mail and distribute
  • Monitor supplies and order
  • Perform filing duties as required – this will include new filing and cleaning up of old files
  • Handle reporting issues to 311 and LG&E for lights
  • Mail new residents a “new resident” packet
  • Cover for office staff during vacations and sick time
  • Assist City Clerk/Mayor Assistant as needed
  • Assist City Treasurer as needed
  • Assist Director of Operations as needed
  • Assist City Commissioners if needed
  • Update sign and banner permits as necessary
