Mark your calender for Friday, September 7 (6:00 – 10:00 PM) and Saturday, September 8 (10:00 AM – 9:00 PM). This will be the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Middletown Festival. For forty years the City of Middletown has welcomed the community to an outdoor festival. The festivals have had numerous names and incarnations but they have all been a fun-packed, family experience.

The 2012 Middletown’s Family Fun Festival and Craft Show promises to be the biggest and best yet. The festival will feature three performance stages: Main Stage in the Celebration Parking lot, Gospel Stage at the Gazebo and the Craft Stage at Main Street and Harrison. Along with a a wide array of sumptuous Carnival Food you can stroll through Wetherby Park and along Main Street to visit to commercial booths, learn about non-profit organizations and register for prizes or to vote, Drop the youngsters off at the all free Kidz Zone and then discover a whole block from Madison to Harrison of hand-made crafts. Be sure to visit the History Center to learn more about our proud heritage.

Saturday will start off at 10 AM with the Dog Show. Enter your dog or come see the amazing and adorable entrees. The Parade rolls at 11:45 AM with over 500 participants. This year’s parade will be led by Major General David Puster, Commanding General, 84th Training Command at Ft Knox. After the parade you will have time for lunch before catching Middletown’s First Baptist Broadway Production Find Your Gift…and Use It! Or if toe tapping classic rock is more your style check out Moondance at the Craft Stage. Be sure to check the website www.middletownsfamilyfun.org for a full schedule of events.

The festival culminates with a HUGE Fireworks Display at 9:00 PM. The headlining act, the Wulfe Pak, comes off the Main Stage at 8:30 PM and goes to the Gazebo to provide live patriotic musical selections during the Fireworks Show. We believe our fireworks are the second largest display in Louisville, we know we have the ONLY Fireworks Show in this area of the country that is performs to live music.

If you are a Commercial Vendor, a Non-Profit Organization or a Crafter there are still a few booth spaces left. Call (502) 241-1175 or email info@middletownsfamilyfun.org.
