Ribbon Cutting at Panera Bread – Help support local businesses

Posted: December 21, 2012

Mayor Chapman and Commissioner Willhite attended the grand opening ribbon cutting on Tuesday, December 18th.

Panera Bread was founded in 1981 and operates over 1625 company-owned and franchise-owned bakery cafes in 44 states and in Ontario, Canada under the Panera Bread, St. Louis Bread, and Paradise Bakery & Cafe names. Every day, at every location, trained bakers craft and bake each load from scratch, using the best ingredients to ensure the highest quality breads. Panera Bread understands that great bread makes great meals, from made-to-order sandwiches to tossed-to-order salads and soup served in bread bowls.

At the end of each day, every Panera Bread bakery-cafe donates all unsold bread and baked goods to local area hunger relief agencies and charities as part of its local Day-End Dough-Nation program.
